About the project
Project JIM (Jolly Identity Market) as an one-night group-performance/happening is set up together with students of Leiden University and Royal Academy of Art. Visitors were firstly asked to leave their personal belongings behind and to put on a white suit. Each visitor then received a unic “identity kit” including; a passport containing characteristics (such as name, lifestories, likes and dislikes), various amounts of money and assignments. Situations were set up, objects displayed for sale and different roles where performed around the visitors which triggered confusion and illusions on individual expectations and paths to be followed.
